Multi-function CNC Surface Grinders Are Newly Designed for Intelligent, Highly Accurate and Heavy Loads

Chevalier’s SMART-IV Series grinders now include the larger SMART-H/B20/24IV machines, which have a more rigid column-type structure to further reduce vibration, achieve higher accuracy and enhanced grinding performance. The grinders meet the needs of industrial, multi-process profile workpieces.
Chevalier products combine SMART iControl intelligent functions and friendly graphical dialogue interface control to meet the smart factory needs for the medical, energy, semiconductor, aerospace and mold and die industries.
Longitudinal hydraulic driven
(SMART-H type) Profile grinding of tile molds and sheet-metal bending blades require fast and stable reciprocating grinding with the worktable moving in the left and right directions. The machine is designed with a hydraulic driven table for speeds up to 30 m/min to fully meet the requirements.
Longitudinal ballscrew driven
(SMART-B type) Tungsten Carbide octagonal molds require multi-process grinding equipped with various fixtures and precisely positioned in X-axis. The machine table is driven by high-precision ball screws and AC servo motors for precise positioning.
Elevating transmission mechanism The machine, which elevates and feeds accurately, features a double-layer column, linear guideway equipped with a linear scale to fully meet the grinding needs of a disk for an RV reducer.
Spindle design The profile grinding of a disk for an RV reducer and tile molds must be achieved by creep-feed grinding with a 75mm-width grinding wheel.
Crossfeed slideway system Broaches and spline shafts require an accurate cross-feeding system comprised of a linear guideway and precision ballscrews, which feed accurately.
Machine-body, temperature control integration The profile grinding of industrial workpieces like RV reducing gear discs requires a high-precision and stable mass-production process. The SMART-20/24IV Series is equipped with a three-in-one cooling device for the spindle and lubrication and hydraulic systems to keep the overall machine temperature consistent for higher precision and stable grinding.
Chevalier’s intelligent CNC profile grinders feature a unique SMART iControl system, which strengthens the performance of Chevalier CNC grinding machines and simplifies the operation process.
Combined with TaskLink+, users can quickly create their own programs within one machining cycle and complete a complex grinding process, greatly improving production efficiency.
